Customer Experience Coordinator

Customer Experience Coordinator

The ultimate goal of the Customer Experience Coordinator will be to ensure that each au pair at our school feels safe and supported and is having fun. This is done through planning small and large events, community involvement, vendor relations and customer support. The perfect candidate will be the ultimate go getter that has a genuine interest in creating an exceptional customer experience.

Role:

Implementing creative programs, events and enhancements throughout the building to create community, connection, and belonging in the school.

Marketing and promoting weekly events to au pairs and the community utilizing a combination of in-person creative techniques, technology and marketing collateral with an ultimate goal of building relationships and fostering support.

Respond to and document  crisis, health and counseling related issues for au pairs. At times this could be on an on-call rotation.

Maintain close working relationships and partnerships with staff, contractors and families to provide well-rounded support to au pairs.

Develop and refine programs based on evaluations and customer feedback including: NYC tour experience, transportation, local community involvement, Training School “alumni” connections.

Communicate with outside vendors to schedule, organize and fulfill transportation and academics requirements at the school. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proactive problem solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize 
  • An outgoing, cheerful and compassionate personality.
  • Ability to work independently and with the team and use own initiative to meet goals.
  • Exceptional organization skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office 
  • Salesforce Experience a plus.

About the role:

Along with your teammates, you will be responsible for ensuring that thousands of travelers get WHERE they need to be WHEN they need to be there.  You’ll ensure that they do so safely, efficiently, and comfortably.  All the while, you’ll execute upon a tight communications strategy to ensure all stakeholders are kept up-to-date during constantly evolving situations.  If you LOVE solving puzzles, WOWing customers, and learning new things---you’ll have a blast.  There’s always something new to learn and experience,  and you’ll be a critical piece of the engine behind this successful program.

 

This is an amazing opportunity to not only learn about this important cultural exchange program, but to also learn everything there is to know about the airline industry.  Ever wonder what your gate agent is furiously typing into their computer when you check in at the airport?  Prepare to learn!

 

This is not a normal job:

We are looking for someone who is excited to work a non-traditional schedule.  Most of our au pairs are traveling between Friday and Monday.  The schedule for this role is Friday through Monday, including being on call throughout the weekend in case of emergency.

 

About you:

    • You won’t feel left out when your friends make weekend plans and you have to work.
    • You are excited about the prospect of having Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off every week. A four day work week is something you’ve dreamed off.  You are excited about the prospect of running errands while the stores are empty. 
    • You are completely unafraid to make decisions in the absence of your manager.  In fact, you prefer being trusted to work alone.
    • Experience with Amadeus a definite plus but in lieu of experience, an affinity for learning new systems will work as well.

The program director team is the largest group of the field-based teams at Cultural Care. As we mentioned, it’s a work from home role. The expectation there is that you have the space, a computer, hard drive memory & high-speed wired internet connection to work from home.  We do a rotating Saturday schedule and on-call schedule so you can expect to occasionally work on the weekends and evenings during the year.  There are also 2-3 times a year where you will have travel opportunities.

There are a lot of benefits beyond dress code that a work from home role brings. You know, daily homemade lunches, no commuting road-rage. And you can be home for that 4 hour window that the cable company gives you. Having said that, our field-based positions are full-time 9-5:30 jobs (or longer depending on your workload that day) where the phones will be ringing and Skype will be jumping. Home based?  Yes. Flex-time? Not so much. Still, the dress code is easy and the coffee is as good as you make it.
