What our host families are saying
Choosing childcare is no easy decision. Because as parents, we don’t ever want to compromise on quality, flexibility, and trust when finding care for the most important people in the world. Hosting a Cultural Care au pair gives thousands of families across the country those very important benefits.
“Cultural Care has been a great experience for us. The interview process, confirming the match, and all of the suggestions for integrating a new family member were incredibly smooth and helpful. Any time we’ve reached out for help or with questions we’ve been able to get answers we need in a matter of minutes. Besides the organization itself, our au pair has had such a huge impact on our lives and on our daughter’s life. We are incredibly grateful.”
— Tricia, host mom in MD
“We’ve been working with Cultural Care for the past 2.5 years. We had pretty specific criteria when we began searching for our first au pair, and the agency helped us find multiple possible candidates. The au pair we matched with arrived in January 2020, and she decided to extend her time in the U.S. for a total of 1.5 years. She was such a good fit —it was hard to see her go! But by that time, we had matched with our next au pair and welcomed her into our home a few weeks after the first returned to her country. We are very happy with our experience, and I regularly recommend Cultural Care to friends.”
— Angela, host mom in FL
“We are so happy we discovered Cultural Care! The program is wonderful on so many levels. Yes, we get childcare help, but even more than that we treasure the exchange with our au pair from Colombia. Our children are learning Spanish, we’re learning about new foods and traditions, and we get to share our language and culture in return. Throughout the matching process we felt supported, travel coordination was seamless, and there is wonderful support monthly from our LCC. We are happy knowing that not only are we well cared for as a host family, but that au pairs are also given plenty of support and resources.”
— Kristin, host mom in NJ
“Luisa fit into our family perfectly and she arrived just in time for my maternity leave ending. As first-time moms, we felt reassured having her with us—she has more child care experience than both of us put together! We are so lucky that Luisa chose to be a part of our family.”
— Joy, host mom in CA
“Considering this was our first time being a host family, we were apprehensive because we didn’t know what to expect. Cultural Care has been the best decision ever! We have not only met an au pair, we’ve met a family member. Johanna has been a dream come true.”
— Jasmine, host mom in PA
“Cultural Care has far exceeded our expectations of helping us secure an au pair. They have a wonderful pool of candidates and the Cultural Care support team was always a phone call away to help us through the process.”
— Jaclyn, host mom in NJ
